A recently published report "A Place to Call Home" (2015) suggests that local authorities and other key stakeholders need to do more to make the Community Rights agenda more inclusive.

Voice4Change's director Kunle Olulode featured in a lively debate at the Battle of Ideas festival late last year. It focussed on racism in the US police force, how prevelant it is, and whether the US is unique in this regard.

The election for the next London Mayor will take place on the 5th of May, and the campaigns are already underway.

Labour’s Sadiq Kahn and the Conservative’s Zac Goldsmith are widely considered to be the front runners. But Caroline Pidgeon of the Liberal Democrats, Peter Whittle of UKIP and Sian Berry of the Greens will all hope to perform well.

Politics is a funny world. The 2015 election saw some of the most flagrant bashing of immigrants that this country has seen in a long time. UKIP rose to widespread popularity on a strongly anti-immigration platform, and both the Conservatives and Labour clamoured to follow their lead.

Today we remember one of the most horrific incidents in modern history: the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Much will be said about the necessity of the action to bring about the end of the war. Little concern will be shown for the 200,000 people instantly vaporised into oblivion. Or the hundred and the thousands of Japanese survivors affected by radiation sickness for decades after.

We at Voice4Change were saddened to hear the news that Kids Company is being forced to close after nineteen years of good work. This will be a real blow for the vulnerable children and young people who were helped by Kids Company, and who will now have one less place to turn to get the support that they need. The fate of Kids Company shows that no charity is immune from the impact of the economic climate and the increase in demand due to public sector cuts.

‘Race’ has a particular place in US society as does the gun. Combined they have truly devastating consequences as with the murderous spree in Charleston S.C. on the evening of 17 June 2015.

Nine murders took place in Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, one of America’s oldest black churches. The suspect is a now-apprehended white 21 year old, Dylann Storm Roof. He apparently sat with churchgoers for an hour before launching his attack.
