What we do

Voice4Change England is a national support organisation for the Black and Minority Ethnic Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector (BME VCS). The BME VCS is made up of non-profit organisations who strive for the benefit of communities and civil society at large.

We are a leading voice in public policy, informing and influencing practice that has a direct affect on the development, delivery and impact of the BME VCS.

Our mission at Voice4Change England is to influence public policy which supports the aspirations of the BME VCS. We also connect and develop the BME VCS so they can influence policy in their own right.

INFLUENCING: By engaging and consulting with a wide range of organisations, Voice4Change England provide an informed, authentic BME VCS voice which influences policy and decision making. We achieve this through:

• Informing and involving the BME VCS in key consultations

• Representing the BME VCS at policy tables hosted by Government and key stakeholders

• Lobbying on behalf of the BME VCS

• Evidencing the BME VCS and the crucial role it plays

DEVELOPING: Voice4Change England support the BME VCS to build its capacity and secure resources so it can better meet the needs of disadvantaged communities. We provide:

• Direct support in areas such as leadership, performance and governance

• Information, advice and guidance to raise awareness of policy developments

• Brokerage of support, signposting resources and vital development tools

• Representation on advisory panels to reflect the needs of the BME VCS in specific agendas

CONNECT: Voice4Change England strive to build beneficial links within the BME VCS and across the BME and generic sector. Promoting the needs of the BME VCS, we:

• Facilitate networking opportunities

• Support BME organisations to collaborate across the BME VCS and the generic sector
